He claimed that these 56 people from various walks of life were wealthier than Nigerians, and that if they decided to go on vacation, the country would develop.
Major Hamza Al Mustapha, the late military Head of State General Sani Abacha’s former Chief Security Officer, claims that Nigeria is being kept prisoner by a group of 56 people who are consuming the country like termites.

He claimed that while in custody, when he was tortured and told he wouldn’t live, he realized that these 56 people from various walks of life were wealthier than Nigerians, and that if they decided to go on vacation, the country would develop.

Al-Mustapha stated that if elected President in 2023, he will take far-reaching steps without fear or favor to improve the country’s current status.

He boasted that if he is elected President of Nigeria, he will put an end to the Boko Haram insurgency that has plagued the country for the past six months.

Al-Mustapha was interviewed by Vanguard in Kaduna for the Hausa Service of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).

He stated that he would migrate and reside in the Sambisa forest in Borno state, which is considered the Boko Haram’s epicentre, and that he would take the required steps to eliminate the rebels.

He claims that once inaugurated in as President, he will ensure that what Almighty Allah commanded is followed, saying, “I will deal with the problem of insecurity no matter whose ox is gored.”

He bemoaned the fact that Nigerian soldiers were “less active and not totally devoted like previously,” saying, “Look at the soldier, all Nigerian soldiers, I now view them like policemen of old because they’ve already become like the police…

and the cops you have are awful. They’ve become spoilt.”

“I, here’s what I can accomplish in six months; people will be terrified of what I’ll do, but it is the only truth.”

He stated that he will revamp the military in the next six months, which will be a difficult process but necessary in order to return the grandeur of Nigerian warriors to their former glory.

“Take, for example, Bako Haram’s heinous crimes; I swear, if it is not doable in six months, I will demote all of these senior officers and send them home.” They would be prosecuted and had to refund the funds. I’ll look into it.”

“I will if I am elected President.” He said, “I live in Sambisa, and I’ll remain with thee throughout the weekend holidays to see if anything may touch me.”

Former Abacha security officer stated his willingness to run for President of Nigeria in 2023 on the Action Alliance platform ( AA).

He stated that now is the right time for him to completely engage in politics.

He claims that the organizations that gave him money and bought his nomination form were the ones who advised him which political platform to run on.

He stated that President Buhari is someone they have liked and loved since boyhood, but that Nigeria has been spooled by the two major political parties.

Al- Mustapha claimed that once Buhari trusts someone, he will never check on them, and that those that surround him are the ones who have reportedly ruined the country.
