In a statement made available to DSMEDIA24 on Thursday, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, Secretary-General, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, said this in response to the gruesome assassination of a woman and her four children in Anambra State.
Isiguzoro said Gov. Soludo must go all out “to protect the lives and possessions of inhabitants of Anambra State,” while accusing him of not doing enough to uphold the oath of office he swore as the state’s Chief Security Officer.
He went on to say,
“Governor Chukwuma Soludo should be held accountable if anyone is to blame for the senseless killings in the state.”
“This is not the time to pass the buck; the Governor is responsible for the security difficulties that the people of Anambra State are facing.”
The Ohanaeze scribe expressed sympathy with the people of the North, particularly the relatives of the Adamawa pregnant woman and her children “killed in Anambra State’s Isulo Orumba Local Government Area.”
“The North, particularly the ACF and the Arewa youngsters, should accept our sympathies.”
“We strongly condemn the brutal act of violence that resulted in the death of the Adamawa pregnant woman and her children.
“It is not in the character of Ndigbo to commit such sacrilege and defilement.” Those responsible for these atrocities are criminals who must face the consequences of their crimes with severe penalties.”
He regretted that criminal groups had taken advantage of the Biafra agitation and transformed it into a murderous rampage.
Ohanaeze, on the other hand, said Isiguzoro.
“is willing to work with the Anambra State government and people to put an end to this lunacy.”
“This is the finest time for action, not for making phony speeches and taking photos in DSS facilities,” says the author.
He came to a conclusion.
